I have always been focused on the application of rational analysis and scientific reasoning to solve real-world problems; this idea has underpinned my career as an investor for the 15 years I have worked in private equity. Over this time period, my experience has ranged right across from early stage start-ups to multi-billion Euro buyouts.
Part of my approach is to identify and gain a deep understanding of the key technological drivers of the time. This has led me to building, over the last decade, a consultancy and a research laboratory in the field of Artificial Intelligence, at the University of Sussex, as well as in the past undertaking more conventional training with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, three years working as a consultant with The LEK Partnership, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
I love working with energetic, enthusiastic businesspeople who want to make a difference in the world—both within Blixt and the companies with which we get the opportunity to collaborate. I believe my long experience in investing, combined with a solid understanding and appreciation of the key drivers of technological change in our society, allows me to bring a useful perspective to the joint endeavour.
